Oh Wretched Mirror!

I thank the Lord that whoever she is,

she is herself and not like me,

that it’s not like looking in

the mirror

because

I would just as soon

talk to the proverbial

brick wall

than subject myself or the world

to another one of me

in looks, words, or deeds

      1. Ok, yes, you use phony pictures and names; but you write with genuine emotions. And we all know the emotions are real because your words make us feel. Keep up the great work! ๐Ÿ˜ Maybe change your paintโ€”er, picture every now and then, but donโ€™t remove your heart. Itโ€™s the mirror that helps us see and grow as well.

  1. Wow I really like this. It has a lovely
Rhythm to it and the words are true I believe about most of us. People tend to be very self critical. We see the tiniest of flaws when no one else does when it is our own reflection. I once dated a guy that shot for National Geographic on occasion and he told me he would never want to photograph me as it would be impossible to get a good shot. Nicely done my friend. Have a safe and blessed weekend. Love ๐Ÿ’• Joni
