Haunted

It’s no ghost that moans and groans

through these paper thin

walls that keep me in,

it’s no spectre climbing those walls

while mockingly dancing

on the ceiling above,

there’s no poltergeist that roams

the homes or the vestibule

of my heart,

it’s the emptiness now, the silence too,

that’s crying out

and you were the constant,

audible

pulse

      1. Dont worry – I’ve been struggling to regulate my emotions over the last wee while, so it wasn’t just your beautiful words that got to me.

I’m doing OK I guess. Just trying my best to navigate this dystopian nightmare we all currently find ourselves in.

Hope you are managing to do the same 🖤

      2. The isolation, anxiety, and potential aftermath of all this seems more frightening than the virus itself. I’ll manage too but I’ll continue to have you and others on my mind.

Stay well, my friend. See you on the flipside of it all soon enough.
