A small part of me
longs for one good snow
when the season arrives,
a snow to cover the ground
and the trees and the streets,
to bring a mere moment of silence
in the current hubbub of life.
One good snow might be nice.

If it takes out the mosquitoes, I might also agree.

After over 100 degree temps this past month, I could surely enjoy a blizzard! (Well, maybe I exaggerate, just a little). I enjoyed the image that your poem creates; snow is so beautiful the way it blankets everything-making it all look so fresh. . .

A little hyperbole never hurt anyone (probably, lol). I was out on the porch when I wrote this, just thinking about nature as a blank canvas. I guess I’ve grown to somewhat appreciate snow over the years. Blizzards on the other hand . . . 😄

So true! Although, the other day walking to my car the sun was so scorching I actually think I would have appreciated a mini-blizzard. . .It would have definitely melted quickly . . .Have a great weekend. . .

That’s about right. The weather is in transition so at the very least, one or the other would be fine 🙂
